A 32 gigabyte iPod, manufactured by Apple, can hold up to 7,000 songs. This figure assumes that the songs are in 128 Kbps AAC format. The capacity of the iPod is different for other song formats.
There have been several generations of the iPod, the popular music player from Apple. The latest is the third generation iPod touch, which has either a 32 gigabyte or 64 gigabyte flash drive providing storage for songs, videos and photos. If the 32 gigabyte variant is used to only store 128 Kbps AAC format songs, then the iPod is able to hold approximately 7,000 songs. This capacity reduces if some of the storage is used for other media.
