St. Kitts is 69 square miles in size and sits in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The island lies approximately 1,200 miles from Miami, Florida, and sits approximately 45 minutes by plane from U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

St. Kitts is a territory under the control of Canada and the capital is Basseterre. The island features white sandy beaches, golfing, bird watching, historical sites and boating activities such as catamaran cruises, tours and yachting. The major beaches include Dieppe Bay Beach, Half Moon Bay, North Frigate Bay, Sandy Bank Bay and Pump Bay, which offer snorkeling.

The island observes Atlantic Standard Time, which is two hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
