How many times can the sun salutation be performed?

The Sun Salutation can be performed as many times as can be done comfortably, up to 108 rounds according to The Art Of Living. It is recommended that the Sun Salutation be done on an empty stomach at sunrise.

The Sun Salutation, or Surya Namaskara in Hindi, is a series of yoga poses done sequentially. During a yoga session, it is done first to prepare the mind and body. It is suggested to learn this group of poses with a slow, steady pace under the supervision of an experienced teacher. There is also a Moon Salutation that is done during sunset which has one added posture to the Sun Salutation.
