As of 2014, the UCLA men's basketball team has 11 National Championships, more than any other school in NCAA history. The Bruins won titles in 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975 and 1995.
All teams except the 1995 winners were coached by John Wooden, the first figure ever inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a both a player and coach. Within that period, Wooden led the Bruins to 88 consecutive wins and an .804 winning percentage during his tenure at the school from 1948 to 1975. Wooden is also credited with developing eventual Hall of Fame centers Bill Walton and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
