How many Valentine's Day cards are sent out each year?

The Greeting Card Association calculates that 145 million Valentine's Day cards are sent out every year in the United States. This figure does not include classroom valentines.

About 224 million roses are grown for Valentine's Day. Americans spend an average of $130.97 per person on Valentine's Day.

The most popular seasonal cards are Christmas cards; every year, 1.6 billion Christmas cards are purchased in the United States, including boxed cards.
