The human body has five vital organs: the brain, the heart, the kidneys, the liver and the lungs. Vital organs are essential for survival, and the human body cannot function at all without even just one of them.
The brain is the command center of the body and is responsible for sending signals to all the body parts, recording and processing stimuli, storing memories and thoughts and producing emotions. The heart pumps blood throughout the body, and the kidneys remove waste from blood. The liver also filters blood, but also detoxifies chemicals and breaks down drugs. Lastly, the lungs transfer oxygen from inhaled air to the cells and remove carbon dioxide.
