The Maryland Department of Natural Resources releases the Maryland Weekly Fishing Report to provide anglers with weekly fishing advice. As of 2014, the report is authored by long-time fisheries research biologist Keith Lockwood and is posted Wednesday of each week on the DNR's website.
The release includes a summary of up-to-date fishing conditions on rivers, lakes, reservoirs and coastal waters in each geographical region as reported by anglers throughout the state. The author combines this with his expertise to provide other valuable tips on the most effective baits and techniques for various species during specific times of the day based on current weather.
