What is 10 to the 6th power?
By Forinfos - 26/05/2026 - 0 comments
Ten raised to the sixth power is equal to one million or 1,000,000, which is a one followed by six zeros. Raising a number to a power of six is the same as multiplying the number by itself six times.
Working with powers of 10 can be easily visualized by adding a zero each time the power increases by one. Ten to the second power is 10 times 10, or 100. Ten to the third power is 10 times 10 times 10, which equals 1,000. Ten to the fourth power is 10,000. Ten to the fifth power is 100,000, and so on. In the above example, the number 10 is called the "base," and the number 6 is called the "power" or "exponent."
