What is a limit solver?
By Forinfos - 03/08/2025 - 0 comments
A limit solver is tool that can determine the limit of a function when a variable approaches a given value. As of August 2014, limit solvers are available online at WolframAlpha, Symbolab and MathPortal.
A limit solver typically requires three input values: a function, the variable and its approach. For example, a limit solver can determine the limit of the function (x^2)/(x+2) as x approaches infinity, which is equal to infinity. Limit solvers may require information to be input with a specific syntax for increased accuracy. Some may use mathematical notation, while others may use a text-based form. Some limit solvers can find either the left-hand or right-hand limit, or both.
