What is the maximum number of rows allowed in an Excel 2010 spreadsheet?
By Forinfos - 20/01/2026 - 0 comments
Each worksheet in an Excel 2010 workbook can accommodate up to 1,048,576 rows, along with up to 16,384 columns. Each row is limited to 409 points in height. Excel 2007 and Excel 2013 also have the same row and row height limits.
Although Excel 2010 allows for a vast worksheet, its ability to open worksheets of such size is actually limited by the computer's memory and performance. Other elements of Excel 2010 have limitations that depend on available memory, such as the number of sheets in a workbook, custom functions and reports. Users can also manually set a custom limit to the number of rows and columns, so that other users can't reach other areas of the worksheet.
