What are Maynard's wine gums?
By Forinfos - 27/05/2026 - 0 comments
Maynard's Wine Gums are a confection sold in Europe and Canada. They are similar to fruit chews or gumdrops but without the sugar frosting. These candies come in six colors and a variety of shapes.
The Maynards company produced the first wine gums in 1909. The flavors were originally named after types of wine but are now simply named after their color. They contain no alcohol, and the flavors are meant to resemble those of fruit. The shapes are a circle, a diamond, an oval, a kidney, a crown and a rounded rectangle. The colors do not correspond to any particular shape.
