Richard Feynman is reported to have had an IQ of 125. An IQ of 125 is considered to be above average intelligence. The test that recorded Feynman's IQ of 125 was school-administered; school IQ tests in the 1930s were intended to find developmental delays and had a low ceiling.
Feynman had one of the highest scores in history on the Putnam Mathematical Competition Exam and had one of the highest scores on record on the math and physics graduate admissions exam at Princeton University. He was an American theoretical physicist who lived from 1918 until 1988. Some of Feynman's contributions included his work on the Manhattan Project and investigation into the Challenger space shuttle catastrophe in 1986.
