Have any Maytag microwave ovens been recalled?

No Maytag microwave ovens are currently under recall as of March 2015. In addition, the Maytag recall website does not list any recalls for Maytag microwaves within the last 20 years.

Several models of over-the-range microwave oven and fume hood combinations manufactured by Maytag's parent corporation, Whirlpool, were recalled in 2001. Over 1.8 million ovens were recalled due to a potential fire hazard. However, all affected ovens were branded as Whirlpool, Kenmore or KitchenAid, as Whirlpool had not yet acquired Maytag in 2001. A similar recall for oven-microwave combinations made by Whirlpool in 2004 also did not affect Maytag products for this reason.
