What does a measles rash look like?

A measles rash appear in clusters and the spots are red with some of them being slightly raised up off the skin, as stated by Mayo Clinic. A measles rash will almost always appear on the face first, along the neckline and then spread to the arms, legs, abdomen area and the feet.

Along with a rash, other symptoms of measles include swollen eyes, a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat and sores inside the mouth. The sores inside the mouth are called Koplik's spots, and they are white with a blue center and are usually found on the inner cheek area. Measles can be fatal, so it is important to immunize children against the virus, as stated by Mayo Clinic.
