Does Mercedes make diesel motorhomes?
By Forinfos - 09/05/2025 - 0 comments
Mercedes Benz does not itself manufacture motorhomes powered by gasoline or diesel. However, multiple recreational vehicle manufacturers use Mercedes' diesel-powered Sprinter van chassis as the base for their motorhomes. Companies such as Roadtrek, Winnebago and Coach House RV all offer Sprinter-based vehicles.
The basic Sprinter chassis and power train contains a 3-liter, six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 188 horsepower and 325 foot-pounds of torque, with optional four-wheel drive. The Winnebago Era, for example, comes with four-wheel drive, while the Coach House Arriva does not. Roadtrek's Sprinter-based offerings sleep between two and four people and come in a variety of interior configurations.
