Where are Mercury serial numbers located?
By Forinfos - 19/09/2025 - 0 comments
Serial numbers for a Mercury outboard engine are located on its transom bracket, which is a device that extends the ship's hull under the water level. Mercury also produces the MerCruiser engine, the serial numbers of which can be found on the engine's sides or on its flame arrester cover.
Mercury produces a range of outboard boat engines that can generate between 2.5 to 350 horsepower, as of April 2015. The most powerful Mercury outboard engine is the Verado line, which is designed to generate minimal vibration and has a low fuel consumption. The smallest Mercury engine line is the FourStroke, which Mercury claims is smaller, lighter and tougher than other four-stroke boat engines in the market.
