How do you merge cells in Excel?

To merge cells in Excel, simply highlight the cells you want to merge, right-click, and select Format Cells. Next, select the Alignment tab, and check the Merge Cells box. The process should take less than one minute to complete.
- Highlight the cells
Highlight the cells you wish to merge by dragging the mouse over them while holding down the left button.
- Right-click on the selected cells
Right-click the mouse on the selected cells, and choose Format Cells from the drop-down menu that appears.
- Choose the Alignment tab
Left-click on the Alignment tab, and wait for the Merge Cells box to appear.
- Check the Merge Cells box
Place a check mark in the box to the left of Merge Cells, and click the OK button to perform the action.
