Are mice really blind?

Mice can see, although their vision is poor and they are also color blind. The mouse's senses of smell and hearing are more heightened, by comparison. In particular, its sense of smell is so developed that a mouse can detect chemical traces of drugs or explosives if properly trained.

While many species of mice serve as prey to a diverse group of predators, mice are among the most successful mammals on the planet at species survival due to their extreme adaptability. Mice are also proficient breeders, as the average female goes into heat approximately every four to five days. Each litter contains around five to six baby mice, which are called pups.
