Are mice blind?

Mice aren't blind, but many species have poor eyesight. The deermouse and white footed mouse both have good eyesight. In general, the senses of hearing and smell are more developed in mice than vision.
The eye of the mouse is similar to the human eye except that mice have two types of cones in contrast to the three types of cones in the human eye. Because cones are the parts of the eye that perceive color, mice probably don't have the range of color vision that humans have. However, some of the cones in the mouse eye are more sensitive to ultraviolet light.
