What is MicroType?

Micro Type is an instructional program for numerical and alphabetic keyboarding consisting of tutorials, educational games, word processor, graphics, timer and skill-building. The package helps students to master basic keyboarding skills. The program has 25 lessons and 5 assessment lessons.

The software helps to build basic keyboarding skills such as finger placement, accuracy and speed. It also has a feature called Web Reporter, which facilitates distance learning by allowing the educator to access students' progress through the Internet. The program has different lessons, each with several activities that help the learner to improve key stroking, new keys and key combinations.
