At least two brands of microwaves are produced in the USA, as of 2015. These microwaves are made by companies Dacor and Big Chill. Unlike other microwaves that are mass produced in countries such as China, these are higher-quality, luxury microwaves made to both look good and last many years.

Big Chill's microwaves are assembled in Colorado and can be made to order with customised color swatches. Dacor-branded microwaves are manufactured in California, and come in a range of shapes for varying home kitchen and commercial uses. These luxury, made-in-USA products are generally more expensive than competing overseas imports, with average prices in the hundreds of dollars.
