"Midnight Sun" is not a bookin the "Twilight" series. "Midnight Sun" is an unpublished book thatwas written by Stephenie Meyer. The bookwas based on the first "Twilight" book from the character Edward's point of view.

The first book was titled "Twilight," and itwas released in 2005. The books "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn" were the last three books in the series.

The "Twilight" books have been translated into 38 languages as of 2015, and more than 120 million copies have been sold.

The books were made into movies, and the first film debuted in November 2008. The final film installment wasreleased in November 2012.
