How does MIG welding compare to TIG welding?
By Forinfos - 15/07/2025 - 0 comments
MIG welding uses a spool of metal for welding, while TIG welding uses rods of metal. MIG welding is an easier process to learn.
MIG welding or metal inert gas welding is usually done on tougher metals. Tungsten inert gas welding is a finer method of welding. MIG welding can be done quicker since the metal is continuously fed through the machine. TIG welding allows more power while not harming the thinner metals such as that of a kitchen sink. TIG welding can also be used while welding pipes. For a novice welder working at home, the MIG welder would be the better option to learn with.
