Why might a nose keep bleeding?

Frequent nosebleeds can be caused by trauma, irritation, allergies or underlying diseases, as stated by WebMD. Typically, a nose will stop bleeding on its own.

Nosebleeds are more common during the winter months, and they can occur at any age. If a person suffers from continuous nosebleeds, a doctor should be contacted immediately, as stated by Mayo Clinic. This will help determine the reason for the nosebleeds which can lead to treatments. If a nosebleed does not stop within 20 minutes after pinching the nose and applying a cold compress to the sinuses, or if it follows an injury to the face, emergency help should be sought immediately.
