A migraine is concentrated pain that makes one or both sides of a person’s head feel like it is throbbing, according to The Migraine Trust. In most cases, people who have migraines feel the throbbing behind an eye or ear, but any head area has the potential to hurt.
Migraines can also cause feelings of disorientation because they can cause temporary blindness and spots in vision as well as nausea and light and sound sensitivity, according to The Migraine Trust. The group also says that migraines can last as long as 72 hours. WebMD explains that conditions such as asthma and hypertension are often associated with migraines.
