Do military identification cards have a picture on them?

Military identification cards have a picture of the individual, accompanied by his or her name, affiliation, date of birth, date of issue and expiration date. Several types of military ID exist in the United States.

Military IDs are issued for both active duty and reserve members. These IDs are known as Common Access Cards, or CAC. Retirees and veterans receive Department of Defense, or DD, cards. The DD cards exist in multiple colors, used to identify the status of the holder. Red cards denote retired reservists who have not reached the age of 60, whereas blue ones are issued for retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
