How does a milk frother work?
By Forinfos - 23/02/2026 - 0 comments
A milk frother replicates the frothing process of a professional espresso machine by incorporating air bubbles into the milk as it is heated up. This process elevates the taste of the milk, making it sweet and giving it a different texture as the foam is mixed with the milk.
As of 2015, there are four distinct types of stand-alone milk steamers and frothers available on the market. The types include fully automatic electric milk frothers, wand frothers, steam pitchers and plunger type frothers. Plunger and wand type milk frothers are slightly different from the other categories as they do not heat up the milk while creating the froth.
