What are Minecraft survival games?

"Minecraft" Survival Games, or MCSGs are organized multiplayer "Minecraft" games based off the popular "Hunger Games" book and film franchise. Twenty-four players, referred to as "tributes," gather resources and eliminate other players with the goal of being the last player standing.

Similar to "The Hunger Games," players in MCSGs begin the game surrounding a cornucopia full of useful gear and weapons. Resources are also placed around the arena. The players have the option of fighting for the supplies or running for cover. When most of the tributes are eliminated, the remaining players are pitted together in a final round called the "deathmatch."
