What are mini implants for dentures?

Mini dental implants, known as Denture-Stabilization implants, are denture implant systems consisting of miniature titanium posts inserted into the jaw bone acting as the roots of teeth. A retaining fixture is then integrated to the base of the denture.
The mini implant has a ball-shaped head that protrudes from the gum tissue. The retaining fixture has a rubber O-ring and acts as a socket, with the O-ring snapping over the implant head to hold the denture firmly in position.
Placement of the implants is an easy process that takes only a short time and does not require an extensive healing period.
