Miniature palm trees are palm trees that grow no more than 20 feet tall. This height is relatively small compared to standard palm trees that can grow as tall as 80 feet.
Some popular varieties that are within the 10- to 12-foot range include the pygmy date palm, bamboo palm, parlor palm, lady palm, European fan palm, Florida thatch palm and diamond palm. Additionally, the banana palm is a dwarf-sized palm that has varieties that are cold hardy. Miniature palms can be used on their own, or in a combination with other palms, shrubs or flowers to create a unique landscape.
