What is the mission of Keyspan Gas Company?

KeySpan Gas Company's mission, while it was still an independent company, was to become a premier energy company that caters to customers living in the Northeast of the United States. KeySpan was acquired in 2007 by National Grid USA after an agreement had been made the year prior.

National Grid USA's acquisition of KeySpan was reportedly completed for a valuation of $7.3 billion. KeySpan Gas Company was first established in 1998 after two energy companies, which were the Long Island Lighting Company and the Brooklyn Union Gas Company merged. The company was headquartered in Brooklyn, New York and managed to receive a 100 percent Corporate Equality Index rating in 2004.
