How do you mix boiled rice with dry dog food?

On the first day, mix one part dog food to three parts rice; move to two parts dog food to two parts rice on the second day; three parts dog food to one part rice on the third day; and back to a full dog-food diet on the fourth day. When returning a dog who has been on a bland diet back to his normal diet, it is important to reintroduce his normal diet over the course of four days to prevent stomach upset.

Veterinarians commonly recommend feeding dogs rice along with other bland foods, such as poultry or vegetables, to treat bouts of diarrhea. Yogurt and plenty of fluids will also help dogs to combat diarrhea.
