When is MNsure open enrollment generally open?

MNsure open enrollment opens in mid-November and closes in mid-February of the following year. For instance, in 2014, open enrollment opened Nov. 15, 2014 and closed Feb. 15, 2015.

Some MNsure customers are eligible to enroll for health insurance after the open enrollment period ends. Anyone who owes a tax penalty for not having health insurance in 2014 has the option to enroll during the tax penalty special enrollment period from March 1 to April 30, 2015. Minnesota residents who give birth, get married or experience other qualifying life events are sometimes eligible to enroll during the special enrollment period. Members of federally recognized tribes also qualify for special enrollment periods.
