What is ModLoader?

ModLoader is the name of a software designed to assist users in installing and managing mods (modifications) for the game Minecraft. ModLoader makes it easier for those with little technical knowledge of how mods work to download, install and manage mods to the game.

Previous to ModLoader, installing mods to Minecraft required users to edit game files in order for the effects of the mod to work. ModLoader simplifies this process by only requiring the user to save the archived mod files into a specific folder, rather than having to deal with editing files. The initial installation of ModLoader requires the user to make a few changes to their Minecraft game folder, but saves a lot of time in the long run.
