Whale sharks are large sharks that are generally not dangerous to people due to their diets. They are filter feeders that only feed on small fish and plankton.

Whale sharks are the largest fish in the sea. They can grow to lengths up to 40 feet long and weigh around 20 tons. These sharks prefer warm, tropical waters. They are easy to identify, as they have a flat, blunted head, and their bodies vary from shades of grays to browns and are littered with white spots.

Despite their size, whale sharks are docile animals and have no interest in large pray such as humans. Instead, in order to feed, they swim with their mouths open and swallow small fish and plankton.
