What is a mother rabbit called?
By Forinfos - 07/03/2025 - 0 comments
A mother rabbit is called a dam, and a father rabbit is called a sire. A female rabbit that has not given birth is called a doe, while a male rabbit is called a buck.
When a domestic rabbit gives birth, the babies are referred to as kits. Domestic rabbit kits are born without fur and closed eyes, making them completely defenseless. All of the kits born to the same mother are referred to as a litter. Some rabbits are physically able to breed at only 3 months of age and give birth to an average of four to 12 kits.
