How much does a bobcat weigh?

Bobcats weigh between 11 and 30 pounds, according to National Geographic. Their bodies, excluding tails, are 26 to 41 inches long, and they are about twice the size of the average house cat.

Bobcats have long legs and large paws similar to those of the larger Canada lynx. They are fierce stealth hunters capable of killing prey much bigger than themselves due to their leaping pounce, which can cover up to 10 feet; however, bobcats usually eat birds, mice, squirrels, rabbits and other smaller game. With an estimated population of one million, they are the most abundant wildcats in the United States.
