How much does it cost to take the sterile processing test?

The sterile processing exam costs $125 by money order, work facility check or cashier's check, or $128 by credit card, when paid up to two weeks before the deadline, as of 2015. Add $10 after that time period. Payment by credit card includes a non-refundable $3 fee.

Candidates must pay an extra $10 to sit for a different exam in the event of a mistake in registration. Non-emergency transfers cost an additional $20. Withdrawal incurs a non-refundable $60 administrative fee. The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution issues no refunds for no-shows, and candidates must begin the process anew and pay the full testing fee to reschedule.
