As of 2014, unopened Coca-Cola bottles commemorating Georgia Tech's 1990 National Championship are selling for between $10 and $23 on various retail and auction sites. The 10-ounce glass bottles feature the lettering "1990 National Football Champions" with the Georgia Tech helmet and Yellowjacket logos.
Led by head coach Bobby Ross, the Yellowjackets finished the season with an 11-0-1 record. Their only near-blemish was a 13-13 tie at North Carolina. Anchored by a strong defense, the Yellowjackets held five opponents to single-digit point totals. After taking the Atlantic Coast Conference crown, the team secured the title with a 45-21 Citrus Bowl victory over 19th-ranked Nebraska.
