Twenty-five percent made $130,060 or above. Among top employment sectors, computer system design paid an average of $106,590. Semiconductor and electrical-component computer engineers averaged $108,190. Wisconsin was the top-paying state for computer engineers at $120,030, followed by Virginia at $116,980.
