There is no ballpark per week salary for professional wrestlers since it varies widely. The amount of money professional wrestlers make in a week depends on their popularity, the number of appearances they make and other sources of income from royalties and promotional work.
While some of the most popular professional wrestlers, current and retired, make millions annually, they are in the minority. Wrestlers who are appearing in pay-per-view shows and the like may fall on the high side of average, but according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary for athletes and sports competitors was only $40,060 in May 2012. Only 10 percent of those in this industry made more than $187,200.
