How much money do professional bowlers make?

The Professional Bowler's Association reported earnings for the 2011 to 2012 season ranging from $100 to $140,250. Earnings are based on performance in PBA tournaments, and three bowlers during this period received more than $100,000 for their efforts.

Participation in PBA tournaments is dependent upon membership in the association. Bowlers may become eligible for membership by achieving a minimum 200 average in the most recent league season while participating in at least 36 games in the respective league. Bowlers can also qualify by having at least a 190 average in a sanctioned USBC league. A membership fee is required, enabling bowlers to participate in tournaments.
