How much is a parking pass in most cities?

The cost of a parking pass varies greatly depending on the city in which the permit is required. For example, as of August 2015, an annual residential-zone parking pass in Chicago is $25; in Milwaukee, the annual fee is $55, and San Francisco charges $111 per year.

Some cities, such as Philadelphia, charge households different fees depending on how many vehicles they own. For instance, if a household has one vehicle they pay $35 annually, but if they acquire a second car, they pay an additional $50 for a permit. The fee increases to $75 and $100 per vehicle for the family's third and fourth cars. Many cities don't require a parking pass at all.
