The amount of electricity consumed by floor-drying fans varies depending on the brand and model. For example, Trotec brand carpet fans use between 0.2 and 1.2 kilowatt hours.

The TFV30S, Trotec's three-speed heavy-duty floor-drying fan, blows up to 2,300 cubic meters of air per hour, using the upper range of electricity. It is powerful enough to be used in large spaces and soaked areas, such as during water damage restoration. By comparison, the TFV10S, which uses the least amount of electricity, only has an airflow output of 525 cubic meters per hour. It is more useful in compact rooms like closets and basements.
