According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the monthly median income for a physiotherapist, or physical therapist, was $6,655 in 2012. This is based on an annual salary of $79,860. "Median" indicates that half the physiotherapists earned more, while half earned less.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the top earners in physiotherapy made over $112,020 yearly. Those at the bottom of the scale took in less than $55,620. Physiotherapists typically see clients during traditional business hours, but weekends and evening appointments are sometimes offered. Most of these professionals work full-time, although 25 percent are employed part-time. The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the field to grow much faster than other occupations between 2012 and 2022.
