How much would you weigh on the moon?
By Forinfos - 15/06/2025 - 0 comments
According to the Argonne National Laboratory, a human being weighs approximately one-sixth as much on the moon as he does on Earth. If an individual weighs 180 pounds on Earth, that weight is converted to 30 pounds on the moon.
The reason for the difference in weights is due to the relationship between gravity and mass. The moon applies one-sixth of the gravitational force compared to Earth. As the Earth contains much more mass than the moon, this difference in mass accounts for the difference in gravity. Additionally, movement on the moon is slower than on Earth because gravity's presence is much lower.
