Muhammad Ali is famous for his boxing prowess, being the first winner of three heavyweight boxing titles in professional boxing. Ali also won both the Golden Gloves title and an Olympic gold medal between 1959 and 1960. Muhammad Ali was unbeaten as a boxer during the 1960s.
Muhammad Ali won his first heavyweight title in 1964 by defeating Sonny Liston by knockout. Prior to his bout against Liston, Ali had also defeated Henry Cooper, the British heavyweight champion, a year prior. During the 1970s, Muhammad Ali fought a series of high-profile fights against Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Some of the matches were billed as the "Fight of the Century," "Rumble in the Jungle" and the "Thrilla in Manila."
