What are Muslim veils called?

There are many different Muslim veils depending on the country and style of Islam, but the main ones are the hijab, abaya, niqab and burqa. Veils are typically worn by Muslim women as a matter of choice because there is no requirement in the Koran for women to do so.
One of the most common Muslim veils is the hijab, which is worn more as a head scarf that shows most of the face. In contrast, the abaya is found in Arab countries and is a cloak worn over other clothing. The niqab is a full face veil that may cover the eyes, while the burqa covers a woman's entire body with a mesh screen over the eyes. The latter is commonly found in Afghanistan.
