Does Nair work?

Nair works, as a hair removal cream, when used as directed. It removes hair by breaking down its protein structures. Depilatory creams are applied to the skin and allowed to sit for a certain amount of time. When they are removed, unwanted hair essentially wipes right off the skin.
Depilatory creams contain chemicals that may damage the skin if used incorrectly. These creams may burn and blister skin if they are left on for too long. They can also cause redness, irritation and itchiness if they are used on sensitive skin. For this reason, depilatory creams should only be used as directed. Users should do a patch test to check for adverse reactions to the creams.
