The fastest greyhound, as of 2015, is Shakey Jakey. Shakey Jakey ran a single race on April 6, 2014, at Wentworth Park track in Australia and won with a 22-length lead. He completed the 520 meter race in 29.07 seconds.

Shakey Jakey was sired from the prize stud, Collision, and the champion mother Kiacatoo Pearl. He had still not reached his racing speed potential when he was entered for the race by his owner, David Pringle, but still won with an incredible time. Despite running in his first and only race, Shakey Jakey is retired from racing and now lives on a stud farm in Australia.
